Copt Heath is a private members’ club, owned and run by its members. It is a friendly, sociable place to play, with a busy competition calendar and plenty going on in the clubhouse.
Why join Copt Heath
The course
A Vardon and Colt course of 6,541 yards, par 71, kept in excellent condition. It is a good test of golf but a comfortable walk.
Winter golf
Our sandy, free-draining subsoil means we normally play to main greens and tees from November to March, when many parkland courses are on mats and temporary greens.
The club
There are regular roll-ups, a full competition calendar and inter-club matches home and away. Most members stay for a drink or a bite to eat after their round, and new members are made to feel at home quickly.

How joining works
Come and look
An informal visit with the Secretary or a committee member to see the course and clubhouse and answer any questions.
Play the course
A round as a guest, usually with members you are likely to play with. You are welcome to come at any time of year.
Apply
A short application, supported by the members you have met. The office will keep you updated at every stage.

The club beyond the round
The bar and dining room are open throughout the week, and members are as likely to drop in for lunch as for a competition. Guests are always welcome.
Start with a conversation
Tell the office how you play and what you are looking for, and they will give you a straight answer on categories and availability.
